Materials Panel

List of materials in the current scene. Thumbnails for Real-time materials produced with legacy raytracer, while PBR materials with new PBR raytracer.

Create - create new material with default channels. Click on down arrow in order select additional options:

  • PBR Material - Physically based material: Matte, Plastic, Metal, Glass, Mirror, Substrate, Subsurface, Translucent, Mix.
  • White Material - Create default white real-time material.
  • Empty Material - Create empty real-time material. Material without channels.

To create PBR mix material, select two materials, right click on any material and in context menu select Create PBR Mix Material.

- Delete material.

View - Properties of list view. Currently it is possible to change size of thumbnails.

Extra actions: Remove unused materials, Merge materials

If material has textures or material is physically based then special marks is shown for that material.

Right Context Menu

Right click on material or multiple materials to receive context menu. In context menu you may:

  • Convert material to material of different type.
  • Save to XML
  • Load from XML
  • Select objects with this material
  • Create PBR Mix material
  • Delete material
  • and more
